POSTER DESIGN
Graphic Design History course
International School of Comics, Milan

Brief

Scientific research has revealed that the fashion industry is one of the most polluting in the world. In recent years, designers such as Stella McCartney and Vivienne Westwood have worked to apply sustainable practices in the production of their creations.

For this academic project, I created a series of posters inspired by some of the greatest graphic designers,
focusing on the theme of ethical fashion and related initiatives.

Revive

Revive is a modern ethical fashion magazine. Inspired by the 1939 cover designed by Paul Rand for Apparel Arts magazine, I created this cover by hand using recycled materials such as black lace and cotton scraps, revisiting the concept of lightness and the thoughtful use of fabrics in fashion production.

Green Carpet Fashion Awards

The Green Carpet Fashion Awards is an annual ceremony held in Milan. During this event, fashion designers are recognized for their good practices in sustainability. For this project, I drew inspiration from the work of Werner Jeker, one of the most influential Swiss-style graphic designers

Circolare

Circolare is a sustainable, ethical fashion project that began in Sardinia, created by a group of local fashion designers. I designed this poster taking inspiration from the works of Italian graphic designer Massimo Dolcini.

If i can do it, Anyone can do it

The British fashion designer Stella McCartney places great emphasis on sustainability in the garment production process. In this poster, I wanted to highlight her slogan, “If I can do it, anyone can,” by transforming it into a typographic image inspired by graphic designer Herb Lubalin.

Nature Our Home

Endelea Home Decor is a fashion project focused on home decor, inspired by African textures. For this poster, I drew inspiration from the elegant lines and refined typography of graphic designer Louise Fili, using earth and natural tones.
